The Kyushu sequence (every prefecture)

  1. Residence card and a real address (tourists on short stay generally cannot complete a normal name change)
  2. Agree the 乗り出し (on-the-road) price — tax, recycle, shaken if due, plates
  3. Parking paper for that stall — draft 車庫証明 on kmcjapan.org
  4. Name change at the ordinary-car or 軽自動車 office for your prefecture

Fukuoka

Largest auction catchment. KMC JAPAN is in Ogori (about 30 minutes from Hakata). Kurume is next door: used cars in Kurume. Parking and 車検証 stay with Fukuoka offices if that is your juminhyo.

Saga

Tosu is 10–20 minutes from Ogori; Saga City is further west. A Saga address means Saga police and Saga transport / kei counters. Guide: used cars in Saga and Tosu.

Nagasaki

Nagasaki City and Sasebo are hill-and-harbor towns. Kei cars fit; rust on older coastal cars is real. CFA Sasebo military families use PMV rules for base plates — we are not an official Navy vendor. Guides: Nagasaki and Sasebo, Sasebo for U.S. military & foreign residents, near the Navy base.

Ogori is typically 1.5–2 hours from Sasebo — a planned trip, then English auction help.

Kumamoto

Kumamoto City, the university, and Aso-area jobs mean more foreign residents than people expect. Name change and parking follow Kumamoto offices if you live there. From Ogori, the Kyushu Expressway south is often about 1.5–2 hours to Kumamoto City (traffic and disasters on the route can change that).

Ask us to shortlist cars that will be inspected in Fukuoka but registered in Kumamoto — that is normal. Do not assume a Hakata dealer can stamp a Kumamoto 車庫証明.
