Nagasaki City and Sasebo share steep streets, tight parking, and a harbor climate. They do not share the same transport counter. Foreign residents (teachers, factory staff, students, and Navy households at CFA Sasebo) should treat them as two shopping maps with one regional English desk: KMC JAPAN in Ogori, Fukuoka.

Nagasaki City
Lots follow Route 34, the bypass, and industrial edges. Expect Japanese-only 車検証 talk. Name change for ordinary cars is in the Nagasaki transport system when your 使用の本拠 is in Nagasaki City. 軽自動車 uses the Nagasaki light-vehicle association.
Students and language teachers: check garage width and slope before a Freed. A Fit or N-BOX is the usual survivor.
Sasebo (civilian and Navy)
City dealers along Route 35 are fine for a kei you can see after work. CFA Sasebo families also use on-base ads — those follow PMV / SOFA instructions, not this civilian 車検証 path. We are not an official Navy vendor.

When to come to Ogori / Fukuoka
Use KMC JAPAN when you want auction grades in English, a car that can be exported later, or stock that local Sasebo lots do not have. Tosu and Kurume are on the way inland: Saga and Tosu, Kurume.
