Jamaica is RHD. Jamaica Customs / Trade Board (effective 6 Nov 2019): motor cars (sedan ≤5 seats, wagon/SUV ≤8 seats) maximum 6 years at importation. Returning residents may import up to 10 years (vehicle in their possession at least 6 months) with a Trade Board licence before arrival. Light commercials have higher age caps.

KMC JAPAN will not load a 7-year passenger car on the general rule. Get the Trade Board motor-vehicle import licence before the vessel sails. Returning residents still pay duty — the extra years are an age concession, not a duty exemption.
