Uganda is RHD and landlocked. Used motor vehicles older than 15 years from manufacture are treated as prohibited. A 2026 proposal to cut the cap to 13 years was withdrawn; confirm URA if that changes. Vehicles still inside 15 years can pay an environmental levy once they pass the older-vehicle threshold (often from about 8–9 years).
