Auction proxy bidding from Japan

We bid for you at USS, JU, TAA and other Japanese auto auctions. Overseas export and Japan domestic use are two different contracts. We bid only after you sign the matching agreement and pay the deposit.

Overseas export / shipping

After a win we deregister the car for export and ship it. It is not registered for Japanese roads. You must confirm your country’s age, steering, and customs rules. The contract is in English.

Use and register in Japan

After a win the car is transferred for use in Japan. You need a parking certificate, taxes, compulsory insurance, and shaken. The contract is in Japanese. Switching to export later needs a separate agreement.

How it works

Tell us what you want

Make, year, budget, and whether the car will leave Japan or stay for use here. Include the lot number if you already have an auction sheet.

Sign the right agreement

We issue either the export contract or the Japan-use contract. Read it, sign it, and send the scan back.

Pay the deposit

Pay the deposit on the agreement. We prepare the bid only after funds are confirmed.

We bid for you

We bid up to your written maximum. If the lot is won, we invoice the balance and fees.

Export or register

Export: deregistration and shipping. Japan use: 名義変更, parking certificate, insurance, and shaken as required.

Your max bid is binding

A win at or below your limit binds you. Changing your mind can forfeit deposit to auction penalties.

No cooling-off

Store-sale cooling-off rules do not apply to auction proxy bidding.

Frequently asked questions

Why are there two agreements?
Export leaves Japan without domestic registration. Japan use needs 名義変更, a parking certificate, and taxes. The legal duties are different, so the contracts are different.
What if the car is not as described?
Auction cars are sold as-is on the auction sheet. Claims are only possible inside the auction house’s claim window and rules. After that window, defects are usually the buyer’s risk.
If we do not win, is the deposit refunded?
Yes, minus bank charges, unless you refuse a winning bid that was within your authorised limit. In that case auction penalties may be taken from the deposit.
Do I need my own auction membership?
No. KMC JAPAN bids as the member. You provide instructions, the signed agreement, and funds.
Can a foreign resident bid for Japan use?
Yes if residence status, address, and parking can support registration. Tell us first if you cannot be the registered owner.
