Malaysia is RHD. Used vehicle imports need an Approved Permit (AP) from the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry. Open commercial import of ordinary used Japan cars for general public resale is not available. Returning experts, disabled, and heritage schemes exist with conditions.

KMC JAPAN will not ship without AP. Port Klang storage will not fix a missing permit. JPJ / PUSPAKOM inspection follows a legal import. Customs duty and excise on motor cars are high.
