1. Introduction
KMC Japan Co., Ltd. is dedicated to delivering high-quality used vehicles that meet international standards. This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions governing refunds for vehicle purchases made through Japanese auctions according to customer specifications. By making a purchase with KMC Japan Co., Ltd., customers agree to comply with the terms of this policy.
2. Eligibility for Return and Refund
Refunds are considered under the following conditions:
Same-Day Return:
Customers may request a return on the same day of the order. A 10% penalty will be deducted from the vehicle’s purchase price as a processing fee.
One-Week Return:
Returns requested within one week from the date of the order will incur a 30% penalty of the invoice price.
Post-Shipment:
No returns or refunds will be permitted once the vehicle has been shipped from our facility, and the sale will be considered final.
3. Procedure for Return Requests
To initiate a return or refund request:
Notification:
Customers must notify KMC Japan Co., Ltd. through official channels (email) within the stipulated timeframe (same day or within one week). Requests received after this period will not be processed.
Submission of Information:
Customers must provide relevant documentation, including the original purchase receipt, vehicle details, and the reason for the return request. Additional supporting documents, such as photographs or inspection reports, may be required.
4. Deductions, Penalties, and Fees
In addition to the penalties for returns, the following fees will apply to refunds:
Same-Day Return Penalty:
A 10% deduction from the vehicle’s invoice price.
One-Week Return Penalty:
A 30% deduction from the vehicle’s invoice price.
Bank Charges:
Any bank fees related to the refund process will be deducted from the refund amount. These charges typically range from 1% to 3%, depending on the bank and transaction type.
Credit Card Processing Fee:
A 5% deduction will apply to all refunds processed for payments made via credit card to cover processing fees charged by the payment gateway.
Currency Exchange Rate Adjustments:
KMC Japan Co., Ltd. will use the prevailing bank rate for currency exchange. Any discrepancy between the original payment currency rate and the refund currency rate will be borne by the customer.
Transaction Fees:
Refunds involving international transfers may also incur international bank transaction fees, which will be deducted from the refund.
5. Refund Process
Authorization:
All refunds must be pre-approved by KMC Japan Co., Ltd. and will follow our internal refund authorization process.
Refund Method:
Refunds will be processed using the same payment method as the original transaction:
Bank Transfer Payments:
If the payment was made via bank transfer, the refund will be credited to the same bank account used for the initial payment.
Credit Card Payments:
If the payment was made via credit card, the refund will be issued separately to the bank account. The name on the credit card must match the original transaction details. Any discrepancies in name or cardholder details will result in delays or denial of the refund.
Refund Timeline:
Refunds will be processed within 60 business days of receiving the approved refund request and all necessary documentation.
6. Refund Costs and Adjustments
The total amount refunded to the customer will reflect the following deductions:
Credit Card Processing Fees (5%)
Bank Transaction Fees (1-3%)
Currency Exchange Rate Fluctuations
Other Applicable Fees
Any additional costs or penalties that may arise during the refund process will also be deducted from the total refund.
7. Non-Refundable Items
Post-Shipment:
Vehicles that have been shipped from our facility are not eligible for refund, and the sale is considered final.
Custom Orders:
Vehicles or parts that are specially ordered or customized according to client specifications are non-refundable.
8. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute related to this Refund Policy, the matter will be resolved in accordance with the rules of the Fukuoka Chamber of Commerce. Both parties agree to submit to the jurisdiction of Fukuoka, Japan for arbitration or legal proceedings.
